Sonya	Well, so much for strategy. Sasori just seemed rather intent on rushing straight at the enemy, rather than devise a workable plan with her teammates. Unless this was part of the plan... in which case it was a stupid one. Sighing, she simply sidestepped the kunai thrown at her, and then cast the Hell Viewing Technique on the bull rushing girl. She would suddenly witness the one thing most that she would not want to witness or happen. That would most likely take her out of the action for the time being, which left only the other two. Hopefully, they would provide at least a little mroe planning and tact.

Hotarubi Kanon	Kanon decided to follow Yuki's charge; at best, they could follow any opening that Sasori made. She was pretty nervous and paid special attention to her feet, hoping that she wouldn't trip -- God, that'd be so uncool! Since she was faster that Yuki, she'd probably overtake him, which was probably for the better; he'd be the guy to bail them out of trouble, hopefully. Seeing that Sasori's kunai were merely sidestepped without a second thought, she pulled out her windmill shuriken and kept it in it's folded form, where it'd make a good combat weapon. Tossing it Sonya was basically the equivalent of dropping it on the ground, because it'd just be useless. Provided she got close enough to avoid any mishaps, she'd swing it at Sonya. However, seeing as the jounin was awesomely skilled, getting close to her was going to be a different brand of pain.

Uchiha Sasori	Sasori stopped short as her vision became clouded by leaves. What the hell kind of jutsu was… this? And they were gone. Well that was odd… She was only just about to return to her run when her eyes went wide. In short order she was racing in the exact OPPOSITE direction, screaming for dear life! She didn’t seem to notice anything else around her at this point, like the fact that no one else was reacting to what she was seeing even though they should have.

Yuki Liang	Yuki kept moving forward, watching as Kanon was going to combat Sonya directly. Wow, that was pretty impressive. Of course it was at that moment that Sasori started running off and screaming about something. At first Yuki was thinking that she had lost her cool, but given her attitude there was no way that was it. "Genjutsu", Yuki said as he realized that Sasori had been defeated in nothing but the blink of an eye. Damn it. He wanted to help her, but Kanon also needed his help. This was not the situation he wanted to be in. No matter who he helped, someone was going to get left out. He chose Kanon. He quickly ran forward, hands beginning to make a few signs. In all honesty, he hoped that Kanon would get knocked away from Sonya in just a few seconds.

Sonya	Well, that took care of Sasori, anyway. She wondered what made the girl run away in the other direction so absolutely terrified, but that was for her mind. It didn't matter anyway; because of their lack of planning, they had already lost one of their teammates in this assault. Kanon, while her attempt was valiant, didn't do much better. When the girl swung her unopened windmill shuriken, Sonya leaned tot he side; the attack swooshed by. She then stuck her leg out, most likely tripping the charging girl as she was thrown off balance from the whiff. All that was left was Yuki, and judging from what he'd shown earlier, she had a fair idea of what was coming, and so started making hand signs.

Hotarubi Kanon	Kanon barely had time to react to Sonya's side sweep -- so little, in fact, that her eyes simply widened. Obviously, her sensei was insanely fast, but this really put some perspective on just how fast she was; there was nothing like experiencing it first hand! Before she really understood what was happening, she felt her nose smash into the ground. As she became acquainted with the rough, gritty sand, she realized that she had evidently been tripped. Propping herself up on her forearms and knees, Kanon attempted to dive for her Sensei's legs. At the very least, the desperate attack might catch her off guard, because it looked like she was now preparing to deal with Yuki! Of course, given that she was a comparative snail, she'd probably just end up being bunted like a soccer ball....

Uchiha Sasori	Sasori continued to be pretty useless as she tripped and fully lost one of her legs, only causing her screams to be that much worse as she remained on the ground, struggling against some unseen attacker… at least to everyone else.

Yuki Liang	Yuki watched as Kanon was brushed aside like nothing. Ouch, that wasn't really the most heartening site that Yuki wanted to see. Still, he had to keep going. They had no chance, but than again they never really did. Their sensei was testing their ability to adapt, keep going forward, stuff like that. This wasn't just a win or lose fight, this was about seeing what each of them had. Yuki wasn't going to give up in training! If he did, how would he ever survive the real thing. Yuki quickly began to make his own hand signs. She obviously knew what was coming, which meant she was probably going to launch something better. Still, Yuki had to try something though. His genjutsu wouldn't work on her based on what happened to Sasori, and his other moves were supplementary. As soon as he was able, Yuki began to expel the great amount of wind from his mouth.

Sonya	When Kanon dove, Sonya remarked it as a good effort, though too little too late. She jumped over the diving girl and landed slightly behind her, ready to deal with Yuki's attack. Since he'd already started his hand signs before her, he got his attack off first, but it didn't matter much. By the time the gale made it halfway to her, Sonya was spitting out a large fireball at him. The wind only fanned the flames, making the fireball rage harder, and larger, as it drove forward like a comet.

Hotarubi Kanon	"Urf!" Kanon hit the ground again, feeling the rough particulates scrape her skin from the force of the motion. It would have been perfectly fine if she had hit flesh and bone, but Sonya-sensei has seen the move coming! She also just realized how dangerous it was to do that stuff with sharp, pointy weapons.... Nonetheless, given that she just launched a holy-crap-that-a-lot-of-fire! move at Yuki, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea for the gang to regroup. For one, she didn't see Sasori any more...she had seen her running away, which was mostly weird, but after that, they were one person weaker on the offensive! She wanted to try to get away, but she was still dangerously close to the blonde! So she wasn't sure if her attempt to roll over a few times in a seemingly safe direction was going to get her much of anywhere.

Uchiha Sasori	Sasori was a bit busy lying on the ground, shrieking her lungs out as she defended against some unseen attacker or possibly attackers from how she was behaving. It didn’t exactly leave her as a productive member of the team, but then that’s basically the purpose of genjutsu in the first place I suppose…

Yuki Liang	Oh poo. That hadn't gone to plan anywhere near as well as Yuki had hoped for. As Sonya countered with a wind, he realized that his attack did nothing but strengthen his sensei's own counter! Great, that was exactly where Yuki wanted to be right now. He quickly moved and leapt out of the way, the fire shooting past him. "Ha, she missed", he said as he pushed himself upwards. Of course it was only a moment later that the heat started to effect him. He glanced down to notice that his sleeve had been nicked and the flames were spreading. "Ah! Get it out!", Yuki yelled as he paniced at the situation. He smacked his arm several times until the fire was placed out on his arm. Of course, in that amount of time who knows what Sonya was going to do. He quickly turned back to her, trying to figure out what she had done.

Sonya	Sonya let out a long sigh at the sight of her team more or less just flailing around now. This hadn't exactly gone how she had hoped. She rubbed her eyes for a moment and took in a deep breath, then said, "Alright, everyone just stop. Stop, stop, stop! Oy, that was a disaster..." She released the genjutsu on Sasori and then glanced between her students for several moments. "Alright, so what the hell was that? Did you even try to think up a plan? Or did you just decide, 'hey, let's run straight at her and wing it from there'? Because, even for genin, that was pretty bad."

Hotarubi Kanon	Having already anticipated that worst possible scenario (her sensei's complete disappointment in the squad, and, by extension, her), having it become the world's reality didn't surprise Kanon, but her spirits plummeted, anyway. There was something deeply psychological about engaging in a no-win battle, being beaten, and then being mocked for having no plan when no plan would have even worked! Her first priority, now that it wasn't trying to land a blow on their team leader, was seeing that Yuki and Sasori were okay. Which was pretty debatable, actually, because Yuki had narrowly avoided being turned into a crisp, and Sasori had gotten mentally abused. By comparison, Kanon merely had the taste of dirt in her mouth and a few bruises from throwing her body this way and that. She felt angry, but she was able to bite it down -- better let Sasori, the most vocal of their group, complain about the conditions. She didn't want to be the one who started it. That probably made her a coward. But still! What could they have possible have done differently?! It was their first day together! ...Unless yelling at them was supposed to make them band together more. Though the thought passed through her mind, Kanon didn't feel that kindly towards being manipulated like that, but didn't exactly put it past Sonya.

Uchiha Sasori	"Genjutsu spouting, pink eyed FREAK!!!" Sasori spat out at the top of her lungs as she sat on the ground and worked to reattach her fallen leg. Sasori hated to lose, but she REALLY hated to lose miserably! To add even further insult to injury it was to an Uchiha using some sort of evil genjutsu or another on her. It was a triple whammy if ever there was one! "Don't go looking down on us just cuz you cheated!" With the combined trauma of unexpectedly being mauled by her greatest fear and then finding out it was all just a genjutsu that had instantly caused her to lose pitifully to the person that she now saw as her greatest rival... Sasori began to cry. She did her best to hide it and continue to look totally pissed off, but she had to keep reaching up to wipe her watering eyes even as she scowled. It also helped showcase the fact that she was becoming a 'pink eyed freak' herself and quickly. As she realized that she was gaining an alarming amount of clarity in her eyesight even through her blurry eyes Sasori did her best to bite back on her emotions. She hopped to her feet quickly only to find that it was a bit premature with all the imbalance she'd caused herself earlier from flailing around and the fact that her legs weren't exactly normal... or flexible. She ended up falling forward onto her face and just laying there for a moment puffing into the dirt like a furious bull.

Yuki Liang	Yuki glanced to his teammate as he didn't want to look his sensei in the eye right now. They had all had their butts handed to them, him least of all by just getting a burn. Sasori looked like she was doing absolutely terrible. Yuki was looking at the ground and didn't see her tears, but he knew that she'd be livid with what had happened. Still, right now their sensei was asking for an explanation and no one seemed really willing to give it. Apparently the burden was going to have to go to him. Himself and Kanon had tried to make a plan only for Sasori to ditch. "We failed as a team.......we promise that we'll do better next time", Yuki said simply. He wasn't going to throw Sasori under the bus. After all, it would only make working together in the future harder if they created a rift now. "We are sorry sensei"

Sonya	Sonya exhaled deeply again and rubbed her eyes. Well, this wasn't exactly going the way she expected it to. Needless to say, she had hoped her students to put forth a little better effort. They had good enough skills, they just needed to work together. That was not working together, from what she saw. That was more like making it up as they went. "Alright, everyone relax, I'm not going to scorn you or punish you or anything," she said. "You just have to realize, I wasn't expecting you to miraculously defeat me, that wasn't what this exercise was about. This exercise was about working together and strategical. I was looking for you to come at me with a well thought out and well executed plan. Instead, you just sort of... well, you had no plan. But that's fine, you'll just have to try again another time. " At this point, she walked over to the fallen Sasori and plopped herself down cross legged in front of the girl. "Hey, buck up. You'll do better next time. This is how we learn, ya know? Trial and error. In the meantime, who wants lunch? On me."

Hotarubi Kanon	The rage itching at her brain dissolved into sadness. Although she tried not to look at Sasori, it was clear that the wild girl bore the brunt of the psychological torture. Kanon, ordinarily socially awkward, only looked away, unsure of what she could possibly do. Thankfully, Yuki had taken it open himself to act as their speaker, articulating a collective disappointment that passed as an apology. Kanon, finding that her voice was caught in her throat, simply nodded. Her sensei's attempt to lift their spirits only helped a little, bit it still stung! Kanon shrugged her shoulders forward, muttering, "L-lunch sounds g-good..." She couldn't imagine that, after this debacle, it'd be anything but awkward. Keeping her eyes on her feet so that she wouldn't catch anybody's eyes, she waited, studying her shoelaces.

Uchiha Sasori	“I don’t promise anything and I’m NOT sorry…” Sasori muttered into the ground. Sometimes she could just be too rebellious for her own good. She started to lean upward, staring her sensei straight in the eyes as a single tomoe began to form in her rapidly developing Sharingan. She saw this as a struggle for dominance and Sonya may as well have been stepping on her face and laughing at her with how she was behaving about the ordeal. It was only managing to fan the fires of rage that were currently roasting her alive from the inside out. She was as passionate about not just laying down and taking Sonya’s abuse as anything else she’d ever cared about and she still wasn’t ready to simply roll over and die. Instead she made one last attempt, making a sudden leap forward as she tried to lay a slap straight across Sonya’s face. "You messed everything up with that dumb genjutsu!"

Yuki Liang	Yuki took Sonya's words like they were bitter medicine. He wanted to make a plan, since he had foreseen that was what the exercise was about, but Sasori had decided to act upon their own. Now they were all being told off for it. Perhaps it would've been better to be upfront and honest, that way she was only going to have to see one of them as a problem instead of all three. Still, what could be done now? Nothing it seemed. Sasori might just go through and prove to Sonya that she was the problem. Yuki hoped that she'd improve, but he wasn't going to hold his breath. "Lunch is fine with me, but I'd rather pay for myself. I have means to support myself and I would feel bad if sensei used her own funds for my needs", Yuki said honestly. He turned his gaze to Sasori as she apparently attempted to prove herself in one last shot. How amusing. At least she didn't quit easily.

Sonya	SMACK! The sound of flesh striking flesh rang out as Sasori's slap connected with the side of Sonya's cheek. Of course, this was because Sonya didn't even try getting out of the way. Nor did her face move at all upon being struck. Rather, she continued looking at the girl and gave her a caring smile. "I never asked you to apologize, you know. There's nothing to be sorry about." On that notion, she suddenly reached her arms around Sasori and pulled her into a warm hug, sighing. "I'm sorry, really, but I hope you understand that I'm just trying to help you all grow stronger. You're my students, and I want you to be prepared for anything."

Uchiha Sasori	Sasori froze in shock as her slap actually landed over Sonya’s cheek, one last tear running down her cheek as she stared wide eyed with her mouth in a surprised O. She’d expected her to do something crazy like vanish into thin air again or at least just pull her face backward and out of the way! Her fully formed sharingan faded from her eyes only moments before Sonya grabbed her in a hug. She remained locked in the confines of total shock and awe for only a few seconds after that before shoving Sonya away by the shoulders with a disturbed and disgusted groan. “Don’t touch me like that, you creepy old lady!” she exclaimed with a shudder, climbing back to her feet slowly this time. “Let’s just go. Don’t think I forgive you for being a cheater though. Once I learn some new tricks I’ll show you what’s what.” With that much said she dusted her bottom for any debris and began to walk off ahead of the pack. She was positive that she could recover from this and still be cool.

Sonya	Sonya giggled to herself at Sasori's reaction. Pretty much what she had expected from the rebellious young girl. "That's what I like to hear," she said, hopping back up to her feet. At least she was determined enough to give it another try and not break down into tears again and give up. To her other students, she motioned for them to follow and said, "Come on now, it's lunch time! And seriously, it's on me." She glared at Yuki for a second. "I'm doing something ncie for my students, don't feel bad. Now let's go!"
