Misao panted and grabbed her knees, dropping to the floor of the forest weakly. She had been running for nearly half an hour, and she was starting to tire heavily. The bandit had allegedly hidden in the training forests, and was preying on young ninja and animals alike. Wiping her forehead and drinking some water, she glanced around herself woozily. Despite her adequate chakra, she tended to tire easily. It was probably some sort of condition, she'd definitely have to work on fixing it. It wasn't usually an issue, but when it was, it was very unpleasant. She idly chewed some of her food while keeping a look out - she definitely had to rest now.
After a few minutes of rest, Misao stretched and rubbed her temples slightly. She was still woozy, but she had to continue the mission. The ninja was barely out of the academy, so should be easy to take down - the stronger ninja had more important things to do, there was a shortage of them. Nervously adjusting her clothing, she grabbed her puppet Gin and stood up. There had been a shimmer of movement to her right, and she could feel something was behind her. Discretely running through some hand-signs, Misao somersaulted forward, quickly spinning to an attack posture. There wasn't anything obvious - which would likely be the case whether or not the enemy was there. Cautiously advancing, she clambered up the tree swiftly, scanning the area the attacker would come from.
There was a sudden movement behind her, and as she turned a cowled figure leapt from a nearby branch. Quickly dropping down from her own, falling unceremoniously on the forest floor, Misao rolled to the left, a sword embedding itself in the ground a moment later. Her clone dissipating from the figure's gaze, Gin sharply punched the figure in the back of the head, the follow-up slash of his tail just barely missing as they stumbled forward. Breathing heavily, Misao stepped backwards slowly, keeping her eyes trained on the enemy. As their hands leapt up and started going through hand-signs, she rushed on the offensive, a swipe of her puppet's kodachi cutting into their left arm. Moving with the slash, the figure ducked slightly, a flurry of wind-sharpened kunai flying under Gin. Misao quickly leapt to the side, a good few of them slicing into her left leg painfully. Dropping down to one knee weakly, she pulled her puppet backwards into a defensive position. The enemy slowly walked backwards, gritting their teeth as their shirt darkened with blood.
She dropped control of Gin for a split-second moment as she ran through her hand signs for the Shadow Clone Jutsu, her breathing growing heavy as it drained her chakra. The clone took control of the puppet and rushed the figure, blades clashing loudly. The real Misao took the time to pull out some bandages and hurriedly attempt to mend her damaged leg, wiping at her watery eyes. Latching control onto the puppet herself, the additional concentration easily overwhelmed the young boy.
Tossing his sword to the side and subduing him with her puppet, the clone went off to report and request assistance as the original lay on the ground, her vision clouded..
