Cathedral of the Shounin

A long ago abandoned cathedral that now rests in a no man's land. Most worshipers have long since abandoned this location, leaving only the truly faithful to wander its halls. As the main door is opened you see a long chapel-like room, with pews and chairs adorning the sides of the room. At the end of the room is a pulpit, where priests and clergy used to make their announcements to the believers. The entire building is lined with cobwebs, dark markings, half lit candles that give the dimmest glow, and ancient books and scrolls. To any who do not believe, walking in gives them nothing but a sense or horror and fear. To those who do believe, it is the warmest of feeling of safety. The second floor is lined with several rooms for those who keep the building alive, The Shounin. Each member has their own room with which they are allowed to customize to their own personal taste. On the final floor though, there is one room for the High Priest to rest and pray, waiting for the message to be sent from his master.

Chishio Itami	"Do not be so keen to live in the dark ages Susano'o", Itami said as he looked towards the man. They were a group, they were a religious order, but more importantly they were all a family. They needed to treat one another with respect and love. Itami believed that they were all equals, but they all had things that they could learn from each other. Itami looked forward to seeing what he could learn from each member, but he also hoped that they would learn from each other as well. At the next words from Susano'o, Itami shook his head. "You either underestimate the villages or you overestimate our abilities Susano'o", Itami said as he looked towards the swordsman. "There are hundreds of Shinobi in a village, and our group does not even exceed ten. We are mighty, but numbers and strategy have proven to defeat mighty warriors before", Itami remarked as his hand rested on the scriptures. "Even the mightiest are able to fall", he said as a solemn reminder. "We shall stick with the plan, we do not have the strength necessary yet", he said before turning back to Coola. He listened to her story with patience, crossing his legs as he listened to every word that she said. "Fascinating, to be blessed to see The Beloved, if not only for a moment, is one of the rarest of gifts", Itami said in a soft whisper. "I have only barely seen him, and because I am his prophet he has made sure that I have gone unharmed", he said as he looked towards the blind eye. "What a gift, for one to receive", he muttered before allowing her to eat. Itami went on to explain everything that had gone on in the past few weeks. The gathering, the assignments, and the recent kidnappings, wanting Coola to know that she was trusted now. "And now, we are waiting for the others to return", Itami finished.

Yamanaka Coola	Coola listened calmly as she ate everything that had been given to her. It was so good to be able to sit, relax and eat a meal without being interrupted! She acknowledged with a nod or other sign that she was still listening to Itami talk despite the fact that she seemed to be quite involved in devouring everything. Once he was finished, she put down the final piece of fruit to reply. “It seems as though I’ve missed quite a lot in taking so long to discern your location. Hm… The spirits are a bit upset. I pray that we can still be of service in future endeavors.” She was just about to do another deep head nod of a bow before remembering and correcting herself…

Chishio Itami	Itami gave a slight nod as Coola mentioned that she had missed quite a few things. "Do not blame yourself, the urgency of our mission was one where we needed to act immediately", the Priest said with ease as he rested his hands in each other. He glanced over towards Susano'o, the only one to have returned so far. "And do not fear about being of use Coola, you answered the call and that is more than most of the shinobi world can say for itself", Itami pointed out in honesty. "You are among the Elite, and you are among those who will give their lives to protect you. We are a family, never forget that", Itami said as he closed his eyes for half a second before opening them once again. "Is there anything else that I may acquire for you? I know that your journey has been long and difficult"

Yamanaka Coola	Coola nodded sharply to Itami’s comments about them being a family, looking quite determined. “I’ll do all that I can,” she stated simply before taking a pause on what, if anything, she should ask for next. “No, thank you. That was more nourishment than I’ve had in several weeks. If I eat too much too quickly I’m afraid I may make myself ill. I believe all that I need now is time to regain strength in my legs. I give you my utmost gratitude for even allowing me that much with your very presence.”

Vorel Knightslayer	The journey was a long, hard, and determined hike as she continued to pass by the landmarks she was shown, she followed everything to the fine details and to the word almost except for her side stops to gather food or for a washroom break, she was starting to get annoyed with the cathedrals location but then remembered that it was probably for the best of it all, she after all was walking to find those that are like her. She was walking up a hill to feel a nice cool breeze sweep past her cooling the warm sweat that was building and sticking to her body thanks to the cloth of her clothes under her armor, although the helmet did its job amazingly against the sun rays which was the best part she was excited for about it, but now wasn't the time to be worrying about things as such, she continued to truck up but stopped suddenly at the site of the building known as the Cathedral and home to many that she hadn't known of besides this man named Itami, she looked around as she stood there for a moment before he pulled a brush from her pouch and fixed her hair as best as she could for now as she hadn't had a shower in over two days and it was starting to drive her INSANE, the limit of not being able to shower was fine and dandy as long as it was on a mission or here or there but she always had a way to keep herself clean in some form or way regardless but out here it was rather hard and was starting to drive her bloody crazy and it knew it too as it constantly nagged at her. After she fixed her hair she got back to walking closer towards the cathedral until she reached the doors before which she stopped and took a deep breath before she pushed on the doors opening them up to hearing them creak giving off a rather loud and annoying ambiance noise, her armor clinked and jingled as she continued to walk inwards of the Cathedral before she noticed shadowy figures within the cathedral. She stood there waiting for a greeting of some kind before she decided to give off her presence again, "I'm looking for the man named Itami, the man that came to me hidden by the light said that he would be here when I arrived here." she said waiting for a response from anyone before popping one of her katana's out of its locked positions as well as her hand on the hilt in case she needed to draw her blade due to some unknown attack of some kind, she was seriously tired from trudging around in the armor and the fact that she was annoyed probably wouldn't help the matter fully, she looked around for a bit waiting for her response as she stood there tall and proud but yet cautious.

Karasu	Karusa arrived at the cathedral quickly bypassing everyone and retiring to his room shutting the door locking it. He had a long travel back he completed in one day and required sleep to maintain his health which he always was attentive to. He was told in the past by his uncle that many strong ninja were killed by their own ignorance drinking heavily running their health. He slowly slipped out of his clothing moving over to his bed making prayer to his God taking himself to sleep and a long one he hoped.

Chishio Itami	Itami shook his head at Coola's words. "My presence will always be available to those who need it, if you ever need to speak to me do not hesitate to ask for it", Itami said honestly as he gave a legitimate smile towards the woman. Itami had great respect for all of those who had answered the call, and continued to answer it. He believed that it showed bravery and courage. He often wondered if he hadn't been born with the religion if he would be so eager to listen to the voice. He wanted to say yes, but he didn't know. Still, he couldn't afford to doubt himself when there was still so much word to do. He needed to press on for all of those who leaned on him for strength. He could never tire. "I can lead you to some quarters to make your own as soon as-", but Itami found himself cut off as the doors were once again opened. He turned to see who it was, only to find that a new face was rising from the outside. Itami slowly rose to his feet, his eyes gazing at the new arrival in curious fashion. He heard her speak, feeling the power that was behind them. As she asked for Itami, he slowly walked forward, continuing to do so until he was only about five feet away from her. "My dear sister........if you believed that enemies lay here, than why would you come at all?", Itami asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "You are among friends now, do not be afraid. I know of whom sent you, and may all the blessings come to you for doing so", he said before turning towards Coola. "Coola, it appears that you are not our only new family found today", Itami said with a happy tone in his voice. "You two have arrived at the perfect times, the beginning of the new world", Itami said as he began to lead the new person into the room. "what is your name Sister?"

Vorel Knightslayer	Vorel stood there as this man that was shown to her in her dreams as a vision to seek out she smiled under her mask and re-clicked her sword into place, "one can never be to careful." she said as she raised her hand that she once had on the swords hilt to her mask before she removed it with her ice blue eyes closed before she opened them looking into Itami's deeply almost as if they were penetrating his defenses and reading him like a book, she smiled and nodded, "I am known as Vorel Caex Knightslayer." she said with a grin on her face as she looked at what appeared to be a stunning image of a good looker. Vorel slowly wondered in following Itami in deeper within the Cathedral till she noticed another females presence which paid her no mind as of much at the moment as she was assured she was among "family" as Itami put it so delicately early. She looked at him before looking around the insides of the cathedral trying to pick and choose the images out from which was shown to her of the cathedral, she noticed them all instantly, they were her own visions, they were just revealed to her in a much earlier time which most would call dejavu. She looked around before she nodded, she could get used to a place as thus as long as it had a place she could shower and tend to her own personal needs when needed, Vorel's eyes managed to find their way back to looking at Itami as something about him peeked her interest towards him, nothing deeply or emotionally, or even sexual for that matter but something about him screamed at her something she was missing and it made her curious as to what. She bowed and smiled, "well I was cast from my own home from those incompetent fools who gave themselves titles as Kage's, so alas I find myself in better need of my time and a new home as well as a new family, it so happened the Lord found me first." she said with her grin still upon her face as she smiled and nodded with a bit of a bow.

Yamanaka Coola	The first thought that came to Coola’s mind upon seeing their latest visitor was wondering how exactly she’d traveled through her Fierce Raining at Will technique without ever getting wet. How mysterious… That was probably a loophole that would never be explained, but Coola should probably stop beating on the fourth wall before she creates TOTAL DIMENSIONAL CHAOS! “Welcome…” Coola simply stated. “That’s quite an amusing name you’ve got…” She was apparently some sort of absurdly foreign sort of foreigner with a name like that. She’d never even been outside Fire Country before now, so she could only assume that somewhere names that sounded as strange as Vorel’s were totally common. She contemplated on just what a night slayer was, but quickly dismissed the thought and sat back to watch the proceedings quietly.

Chishio Itami	Itami took a seat down next to Coola and motioned for Vorel to join them so that they might all be together at this time. Despite his introduction to Coola, she was still a brand new member and hadn't fully settled yet. Hopefully these two could become friends with each other and the rest of the family. "Well, consider yourself among your new home and family as we speak, for it sounds like you have already come to the conclusion that many seek for when they come here", Itami said softly before closing his eyes for a second and opening them again. "I will escort you to your quarters a little later, but for now I wish you could tell me more about how you came to enlightenment", the priest mentioned. "If you would rather rest first I am positive that we can wait"

Hitomi Kyuuen	Hitomi floated in, her cloud of iron making sandy shifting noises as it moved. Sighing as she landed, the sand floating back into her clothes, Hitomi cracked her neck, frowning. "Hey new people.. The mission didn't go so well, but we should talk later, plus you are dealing with newer people and all. Call me if there are any meetings, of course." Waving at them idly and smiling, Hitomi floated through the damaged ceiling to get some rest.

Vorel Knightslayer	Looking around still somewhat Vorel noticed that Itami had shifted from where he was to sitting beside the other woman before he motioned for her to join them sitting down, "It's what I am called, I could say the same about your name but I'd rather not drag out a rather dull conversation of the such." she said as she sighed sitting down near the two still within arms reach. "I am rather tired and would like to wash up if that is possible." Vorel said as she needed a shower or bath of some kind before she decided to get some rest.

Miyako Akiyama	Akiyama kicked open the doors to the cathedral, trudging in slowly. She dripped from head to toe, soaked in rain water, and she wasn't exactly thrilled about it. Letting out a huff, she dropped the unnamed npc bijuu host at her feet and started wringing out the sleeves of her kimono. "What... in the hell... is with all this rain? Did someone piss off a thundercloud or something?" She huffed again and kicked her feet, trying to shake off excess water, before walking farther inside and dragging the unconscious captive behind her. It was at this moment that she noticed Itami there, sitting next to... two other women. Two women she had never seen before. She flinched. "I-Itami-san... who are they?" she asked, eyeing the pair hotly.

Chishio Itami	Itami glanced up as Hitomi suddenly entered into the cathedral, saying that the mission hadn't gone well. What did she mean by that? What could have possibly happened? Itami was about to stand up to inquire about it when Vorel spoke about wanting to go wash up. Itami merely pointed to the back of the cathedral. "Head out the back and you'll find a nice spring. You'll feel clean and rejuvinated. If you need spare clothes feel free to go through some of the closets. There are several clothes that priestesses used to wear that no longer are used", Itami said rather quickly before suddenly being talked to again. This time it was Aki though. God why were so many people talking right now? Itami stood up and looked as Aki threw down the host. "Ah I see that you captured the host as planned. Excellent work Aki, not that I expected anything less", the Priest said before hearing her question about the woman that seemed to have shown up while she was gone. "We have two new believers that have come to join with us. One has shown up on behalf of the Spirits in support of us", Itami said as he motioned to Coola. "The other is Vorel, someone who was removed from her home by someone she once called her leader", Itami said with a smile. "Don't worry, they are fully on our side............are you alright?", he asked as he looked at Aki.

Yamanaka Coola	Coola didn’t have much time to do more than offer a quick wave of return greeting to the Satetsu woman before she was off to her own personal business. She was positive she’d have plenty of time to do idle chatting some other time… like when her feet were actually working properly. It appeared that Vorel was leaving them as well, though she seemed a bit snobbish for Coola’s tastes so she wasn’t entirely disappointed. “You can blame the waterworks on the spirits that follow me,” Coola spoke up and raised her hand to volunteer for the blame, letting it fall again quickly. “I guess they just really like it when it’s gloomy around me, but on the bright side it also doubles as a perimeter defense. I could sense you coming from a mile away. Obviously it won’t be very helpful until I’m well acquainted with chakra signatures of everyone on the good guy side… Oh, hello by the way.”

Vorel Knightslayer	Standing there as she was walking she turned back to face the other woman and smiled "let hope we can become better sisters tomorrow!" Vorel said as she turned but stopped as she face another woman, but she was in a bit of a rush so she decided she wouldn't take it personal that Akiyama wouldn't take it personal if she rushed off to take a bath and relax before she continued her reasons behind how she found out about the group.

Oizumi Kamedenbou	After a few moments, and after everyone had there introductions, they would hear the door opening slowly once again... As the door finished opening, Kame's figure would be seen behind the door... As he walked in, they would see him carrying three beings... He carried one on his shoulder, the other onder his arm and with that same arm, was carrying another in his hand... He approached Itami while taking a glance at the new girl that was sitting beside him..." Did he dump Aki for this one or something..." Kame thought to himself before stopping only a few feet away from Aki. He dropped all three of his captives right beside the one that Aki had caught..." The three that you wanted me to catch have been brought back... I didn't have any trouble either, they were all amateurs to say the least..." Kame explained as he then looked over at Aki once again who seem to be as soaked as he was from the rain... Only Kame wasn't botheed by a the rain, infact he often times liked it. It helped conceal movement and often times dulled noises... But that didn't reallly matter at this moment. He then turned to Itami once again..." Miyako Akiyama	"Uh...huh, what?" Akiyama said, blinking out of her apparent defensive induced trance. Or maybe it was jealousy? "No, I, uh, uh, I mean I-I-I... yeah, I'm fine, here's your host." She threw the unconscious kid at Itami's feet and then frantically started looking around. She felt like she was flustering, and she couldn't have people seeing that. "I just need to, uh, I mean, go dry off, and change, I'll be right back!" In the blink of an eye, she was gone, bounding up to her room at the tip top of the cathedral. Phew, close one. Now she could concentrate on getting straightened up and calm down.

Chishio Itami	Itami was about to speak to Coola, but yet another person showed up. Man, the Shounin had great timing it seemed. Everyone showed up all at the exact same time! It was convenient, and inconvenient at the same time. The Priest looked down at the children, seeing the wounded state that they were in. "Amazing, seems like it was quite the job. Very effective work Kame", Itami said as he stood up. Upon the man's next question Itami merely shook his head. "No, if you could take them upstairs and 'secure' them I would be most appreciative. After that take a well deserved rest my brother", Itami said with a smile. He motioned for Kame to take the one that Aki had provided as well. Aki soon left afterwards, seeming to be distracted by something. Was she embarrassed that she had not realized that the two women were simply new members? It was nothing to be ashamed of after all, anyone could have made the same mistake. He'd have to talk to her and Hitomi later. They both seemed different somehow, he'd take care of it soon. He turned towards Vorel and Coola. "Please, go take some time to get ready. Later tonight we will be having a meeting as a Shounin whole. Now that we are all back, we must discuss what will come next", Itami said with a nod. "I too shall head to my room for a short while. Come find me if you need anything", Itami said before turning and heading off to his door and slowly closing it behind him. Vorel and Coola would notice a change within the last few minutes. He seemed much more tired suddenly.

Oizumi Kamedenbou	Kame nodded as he was told to bring all four hosts upstairs and secure them. Kame found it odd at first that they would have a prison like area at the top floor, aren't they normally in the basement... But Kame didn't bother to ask about it nor did he care really... He picked two of them up and put them under his arms and then kneeled down and grabbed the other two that were still laying there with his hands... He gave one last nod before proceeding to the upper levels untill he reached the proper room. He chained each one up and then looked at the two that he had caught... He inspected the wounds to make sure that he had infact hit none vital areas..." Looks fine, they shouldn't die from these wounds..." Kame said to himself quietly. It would be a shame if his first job for the group ended in failure cause he killed his targets... After doin one last inspection of the prisoners, he left the room and headed to his own room to take his well deserved nap that he alway's took in the middle of the day. Yamanaka Coola	No matter how Coola tried to but in with a comment she couldn’t seem to manage to get even half a syllable out before something else was going on at this point and before she knew it there was only her and the other new girl left in the room. Well wasn’t this just fucking peachy. She looked incredibly annoyed for a moment before finally letting everything out in a sigh and lying back again on the pew she’d been left with and trying to get some rest. So much for a comfortable setting. At least she’d have privacy once Vorel ditched her for the spring. It wouldn’t be long again before her legs were at least functional enough to allow her to walk without stumbling over her own feet…
