Personality: Nami is greedy and will do anything for money, accepting any challenge that comes along. Her love of money stems from her childhood, where she lived a poor life and was often upset at having little wealth. She's very bossy and is usually ordering everyone around, including her superiors. She can be devilish at times and won't think twice about ditching others to save her own life. Nami also has an obsession with fashion, as she is never seen wearing the same clothes. She doesn't seem to have much modesty as she often wears rather skimpy clothing and allows people to take photos of her wearing very little, such as swimsuits (as long as they pay), and often gives more than flashes to perverted men surrounding her. She also has an insane passion for anything that most people deem disgusting; bugs, insects, leeches, among other things.

History

Nami was born as a part of the Yama Bito Senju in Kirigakure, a Branch of the original Senju family line that had travelled to Kiri decades ago. However, when it was wiped out by a defunct Kashou clansman, Nami was one of the few survivors. Her parents sent baby Nami over to their main family in Konoha to be raised by the Senju there. She enrolled in the Ninja Academy at a young age and was trained in the Senju arts by one of the clan elders.

It was during this time that Nami developed most of her tendencies that stick with her to this day; she developed an interest in insects, creepy crawlies and the more "disgusting" species of the Earth. She then got her hands on a Leech Summoning Contract, which she signed and was Reverse Summoned to the world of Leeches. The leeches were annoyed that a nine year old little girl had signed the Leech contract, and decided to eat her. However, they were stopped by the Leech Queen who was absolutely charmed when Nami called her "pwetty". The Leech Queen, who had never been called anything remotely close to beautiful, decided to choose Nami as her ultimate summoner and future Leech Sage when she was older. She immediately had some of the Doctor summons do advanced surgery on Nami which resulted in her obtaining the Soften Physique Modifcation. Then she returned Nami to the real world and had her become the sole owner of the Leech Contract.

Nami continued to train at the Academy and at the Senju Compound. Showing a knack for Ninjutsu, she surprised her mentors when she learned two B-Rank Wood Release techniques just before her graduation ceremony. She graduated, became a Genin and eventually after completing a couple C-Ranks participated in the Chuunin Exams, which she passed after showing an uncanny affinity for Ninjutsu. As a Chuunin, Nami became mildly famous throughout the Ninja World as a powerful strategist, showing great leadership skills and tactical prowess, with her belonging to the esteemed Yama Bito Senju only increasing her influence. Seeing her master more and more high level wood techniques and Ninjutsu made the Hokage interested in her, and soon enough she was promoted to Special Jounin.
