History

Mai's father died on a mission before she was born, due to unexpected danger. Mai's mother also died in childbirth, leaving her an orphan. She was well cared for and raised by a fair amount of ninja. She had an enjoyable childhood, and was schooled in the ninja arts at an early age, having no other likely career options, and of course for her bloodline abilities. She steadily but surely rose through the ranks, despite a lack of particular goal in life.
