All Chuunin Exams will be held as individual events in the Event Board, though you may participate with other RPers as well, if you so desire. In either case, the Exam event will take place in its own time and place separate from the happenings of the rest of the site. This means that you may still Rp your character elsewhere while working on your Chuunin Exam. The reason for doing it this way, as opposed to an entire site wide Chuunin Exam every so often is because, through past experiences of bringing the rest of the site's RPing to a halt in order to have a site wide Exam, it inevitably shuts down the site's activity, and goes very, very slowly. All my Chuunin Exam experiences in the past has ended up this way, with the site bordering on near death experiences with the resulting lack of activity. So, this time around it will be done as personal events. Note that when doing this with a group, the requirements do not get divided between how many people participate. Each person must still fulfill all the requirements.

Once your Genin has earned enough AP to take the Chuunin Exams, you may do them at any time. Just remember that you cannot advance to Chuunin level until you have taken and passed your Exams. That being said, each person's Exams are split into three (possibly four) different parts, each one with certain requirements that must be fulfilled to move onto the next stage, and each with certain rewards that will be given to you after the Exams. Also, keep in mind that, because of how our site's story is set up, there is very little inter-village interaction. This means that your Genin's Exams will likely only be held in his or her village, so keep that in mind.

Stage One

The first stage of the Chuunin Exams consists of your character's arrival to the Examination Building, as well as the written test, which is used to weed out the first crop of unworthy Genin. Since I assume you've all seen the canon Chuunin Exams in the series, it should be pretty straightforward what to do here. You use your character's abilities to get the correct answers in whatever way that you can, without being caught. You must, when you write this out, cover everything from the beginning of your arrival, to the end of the written test.

Requirements: 750 words minimum, Arrival at Exam Building, Written Test
Rewards: 500 ryo, 1 AP, TP equal to word count

Stage Two

The second stage of the Chuunin Exams consists of the survival test. Here, you will write out some kind of test similar to the Forest of Death, as seen in the series. The Genin are matched up with their teams and must survive several days in highly dangerous area specific to whatever village the Exams are being held in. While not only surviving the dangerous wilderness, they also must survive the other teams, as only a certain number can make it to the end and advance to the next round. If you want to come up with a similar process to the Heaven and Earth scrolls from the series, go right ahead. You're given creative freedom in this stage, so long as it adheres to the above guidelines.

Requirements: 1250 words minimum, Survive a Hostile Area
Rewards: 750 ryo, 2 AP, TP equal to word count

Stage Three (Optional)

The third stage of the Chuunin Exams is entirely optional, and up to you whether or not you want to take part in it. This is the preliminary fights, which take place if too many teams make it through stage two, and must still be further cut down. Each Genin takes part in a single fight with another, where the loser advances to the final stage, and the loser goes home. If you decide to have the prelims in your Chuunin Exams, then you must write out your own Genin's fight, in which they would obviously win so that they can advance to the finals.

Requirements: 750 words minimum, Victory in a Single Battle
Rewards: 500 ryo, 1 AP, TP equal to word count

Stage Four

The final stage of the Chuunin Exams consists of a tournament style battle, in which there can be only one victor. Keep in mind, however, that not only the winner of the tournament will be promoted to Chuunin. Those that show an exceptional level of skill, even if they lose, will also be promoted. This being said, you have the option of writing out one, two, or three battles that your Genin will take part in. Regardless of which you choose, you will pass and be promoted to Chuunin, but there are greater rewards depending on which you choose.

Requirements: 750 words minimum (one fight), 1250 words minimum (two fights), 1750 words minimum (three fights)
Rewards: 750 ryo, 1 AP, TP equal to word count (one fight), 1500 ryo, 2 AP, TP equal to word count (two fights), 2000 ryo, 3 AP, TP equal to word count (three fights)
