History

There isn't much to say about her childhood, other than that she grew up without parents, being raised instead by her then jounin brother. Her brother trained her in the ways of their clan, along with other clan members, and enrolled her into the Kumo academy when she was old enough. She passed with flying colors, then becoming a genin and working herself up to chuunin and beyond. By the time she became a jounin, her brother was head of the Kumo ANBU and held in very high esteem within the village. During her years as a Kumo shinobi, her ruthlessness and fighting style earned her the nickname "The Demon of the Seven Swords". Her enemies knew to fear her, and her fellow shinobi knew to respect her.

However, during a harsh and brutal war with a neighboring nation, her brother was killed. Had this been an ordinary death, a simple casualty of war, she could have accepted it and let it go. But this was not the case. She later discovered that her brother had been deceived by the village elders, and the mission he had been sent on was never one that was meant to be completed. Rather, they used him as bait to draw out enemy ambush parties. When she learned of this, she instantly forsook all loyalty she had to Kumo, feeling betrayed and insulted. Her brother's death was on their hands, and she would never forgive them for that.

So, she left the village one day and never returned, wandering aimlessly and searching for a purpose. She would discover this purpose years later in her sleep. A god visited her in her dreams, telling her that she had a great purpose to carry out, that he needed her to find a man known as Itami Chishio and follow him, help him. If she did this, her purpose would be realized and she could rise up out of the pit of grief she had been wallowing for years. And so she went and found this Itami Chishio and pledged her loyalty to him, vowing to do whatever he asked of her so that she would have a purpose.
