History

Was born a few years before the plague started taking it's toll. And was just accepted to the academy the same day that the first case of the plague was identified in Suna. Isamu worked his hardest. Pushed himself into the deeper into the intense training, and away from the people around himself after his father died from plague. Soon than later Isamu lost a sister, Mayu, and brother, Yuta, leaving only him, his mother and his younger sister, Mina.

It was during this time that the dwindling Shinobi of Suna started their own internal Chunin Exams. The internal exams were caused by Suna's closed border. The turnout was simply not only the best Suna had to offer but their survivors pushed to their limits by their patriotism and pride. The Exams were closer to professional wrestling than a tournament. In his match-up Isamu was quick to rally the crowd, through he faced a much larger faster and heavier opponent. In the end Isamu was defeated but the victor walked away to boos and thrown rocks. Even the Daimyo threw his food. The Daimyo also remarked that Isamu was as tough as "Desert Iron" The name Stuck.

Beaten and broken Isamu made Chunin. It didn't take long for Isamu to take command of his own very young squad called "Desert Iron" start missions, whose focus was counter insurgency, civilian policing, riot control, and border patrol. When a small insurrection rose up in response to desperation caused by economic colapse. This insurection was quickly put down by Isamu's group. And under the watchful eye under the Daimyo who was present at the final remarked that he was as "Colder than Ice." It was then that "Cold Iron Isamu" Was born.

With economic aid restored to the village. Isamu was promoted to Jounin, with the blessing of his Daimyo. What happened after this point is left to speculation, rumor and legend as the records of the black ops that were lost in the fire of the Daimyo's office durring a Food Riot.

It's needless to say why such a man was put foward to become Kazekage at the ripe young age of 23 after the mysterious death of the previous Kazekage.

His first move in the new office was to push down the quantity of Ninja and push up the quality of the Shinobi and work with civilian groups to quarantine the last of the plague. And spread medical supplies. He also pushed the productions of Herbs and medicine researches. Then push the economy of the utilitarian Shinobi verses the ultra-specialized Battle shinobi. In the way re-designing the backbone of Sunagakure around these ultra-well trained shinobi.

It was durring this time as the Kazekage, that Isamu married his academy sweetheart. Ito Ayumi, together the two had two healthy children, Ai and Kaito, before she died giving birth to their third child, Yuzuki. Ayumi being an active Chunin was given a full military funeral with all honors. It's said that Isamu didn't shed a single tear for his wife. A five your old Ai would be able to tell you much differently.

On Isamu's 38th birthday the Daimyo declared the borders of Suna again open for trade! In the time between then and the present little has changed, however now medicine has become a major export of Suna. And the now 60 Year old Daimyo proclaimed "Cold Iron" Isamu Goto as the reason Suna returned from the edge of the verge of self destruction.
